alternative title - "Scary Interesting things you find while cleaning and packing"

Yeepers!

And I have to wonder - what the hell was she thinking?? Was she thinking?

Probably not... It was the (early) 90's fergodsakes... And I had just woken up.

Where did that girl go? And what do you suppose came next??

Nah... Nevermind. I want the ending to be a surprise.

I think.

Wonder what I'll find today...

Treasure!

That's what we're looking for today in the Brain Bender. Let's see what the handy dandy discount MENSA calendar has in sore for us....

--------------------

Just suppose you dug up some buried treasure. Unfortunately, it seems to have been a child's piggy bank. There is $3.60 in the bank with an equal number of pennies, dimes, and quarters.

How many of each coin did you find??

--------------------

Awwwww, dang! I was hoping for a bit more. Oh well. And you know what to do - the answer will be found later in the comments - see you then!

Okay, so now what??

Right - back to real life for me.

Yesterday I hit the ground running and today is more of the same - I got a house to sell, one to buy and there is that whole joy of moving to look forward too.

Lucky for me, I have a drill Sergeant my mother here to help me get organized. And motivated. Motivated to get organized. And packing.

Packing , packing, packing... With a side of packing sauce...

Mmmmm.... Sauce.... Speaking of sauce - Sam has pictures posted from the weekend extravaganza after some of us had been hittin' the sauce (hey- we were playing poker!) and The Dashman has pics also of some of the yummy goodness that we were treated too. Delish with or with out sauce. Gotta love it!

Anyhoo - I am off to the wilds of the garage. Good Lord - why do we have all of this crap again?? I gotta get my act together so I can try to lure unsuspecting pedestrians in who will want to relieve me of some of this stuff in exchange for a little green.

What am I thinking?? Beats the hell out of me - I'm just following orders at this point...

Security Trouble

Is the topic of today's Brain Bender - I'm just glad that I didn't have any during my travels...

Ready to play??

--------------------

What two words formed from different arrangements of the same seven letters, can be used to complete the sentences below?

The poor lady could not have been __________. She found that she had only one __________ after her jewel case spilled during a security check.

---------------------

Alrighty then, you know what to do. The answers will be found later in the comments. See you then!

Just another little weekend re-cap...

Can I just say again how much freeking fun we had?!?! And I swear - Captain Marvel may have made an appearance!

Shazam!!!

I feel so blessed to have spent time with these folks...

Right from the get go, I knew things were going to be fantastic - my plane had run a little late (hey - I wasn't driving!) but Zonker (a consummate gentleman), the lovely Christina, and the sweet and sassy Oddy had all decided to wait on me after having bribed and beaten gently coerced a guy from the ground crew to swear on his life check and make sure that I was indeed on the plane. And that the plane was in route and not come and gone And that I was well taken care of and would be there shortly...

A more welcoming crew does not exist! Hugs and introductions all around and we were off to Casa de Feisty.

Christina's kitchen is something to behold - not an incredibly large space, but so well designed that numerous people can be working together and not feel crowded. And Christina? A Maestra of the highest order - the whole place runs like a well oiled machine. All.the. time. It's perfect. And she fills it with not only the most wonderful culinary delights, but the best of the best people as well. I was so fortunate to meet:

Sam and his lovely Bride. More charming than can be imagined. What a joy these folks are! A-team all the way...

Christina's (blogless) friend Susan - again a delight. And Feisty? Must be her middle name...

Zonker (who I met at the airport) is beloved by kid and creature alike - and rightfully so. Calm and debonair under all kinds (and I do mean *all* kinds) of fire. So happy to have made his acquaintance.

Dash the consummate host and master of the grill. A southern gentleman through and through...

Michele and her hubby are an absolute class act! Even when they slip in a zinger. :-) So much fun...

And when Lolly enters a room - it's all sweet smiles and a genteel influence. Even when she's taking your money at the poker table it's with such grace that you almost want to thank her for it. Almost...

El Capitan has a wonderful spirit and can command the attention of a room when he tells a story - it was great to meet him.

And finally Trooper and Trooper's Gal - the time was too short but it was delightful to get go visit with them both. What a delightful couple you are - loving and witty all at the same time!

Throughout the weekend there was an endless supply of food, laughter, zingers, games, laughter, conversations, stories, laughter, singing and more... And after all was said and done - I think we even ended up with a theme song... Feel free to whistle sing along.

Gotta love it.

Monday, May 28, 2007

All that and a bag of chips...

And I am soon headed home after a weekend with friends that was beyond fabulous...

Southern Hospitality?? Alive and well. And apparently originating at Casa de Feisty and emanating from here in waves. I thought *I* was a hostess?? Oh my - Christina and Dash take hosting to whole other levels... I have never felt so welcomed and comfortable.

Christina has a round up of events as does Trooper Gal , Oddybobo and a bit from Sam. I have many wonderful folks soon to be added to my sidebar. To say it was a wonderful time filled with great food and laughter is to compare an anthill with Lone Mountain. While true, the reality was just so much bigger and better.

Thanks so much for everything Dash, Christina, Wee One and Sweet One - you're just the best of the best...

And as for the rest - I'll have a better description later. But I couldn't have envisioned spending time with a better group of people... Y'all rock.

Friday, May 25, 2007

My bags are packed...

...I'm ready to go.

I'm standing here outside your door.

I hate to wake you up to say goodbye....

'Cuz I'm leaving on a jet plane.

I Don't know when I'll be back again...

-------

Okay - that part's not true. I'll be back Monday.

But I *am* going on a lovely little vacation just for fun - solo - first time in an absolute AGE.

Mom's don't get days off.

Hours or minutes - yes. Whole days?? No... Whole freeking weekends?? Unheard of... I will be sharing time with wonderful friends - I am so blessed....

And I'm going... Whoohoo!

So blogging will be... or not... we'll see...

Y'all play nice. I'll be watching and I'll home soon....

Super Secret Message....

Glad you didn't jump ship, Dude... I got a good feeling about this.

;-)

Alphabet Soup

Is what the handy dandy discount MENSA calendar is serving up for lunch. Ready to play?

---------------------

The 15 letters below can be anagrammed into a two word menu item that might be found at the Agra Cafe.

What is the item?

A C C D E H I I K N N O O R T

--------------------

Sounds yummy! (And like something RSM would make.) Anyhoo, you know what to do - the answers will be found later in the comments. See you then!

New digs...

...and new pictures! From inside this time! Hooray!

We're getting there, anyway. And even without our fixtures and counter tops I am beyond happy with the progress. I spent all night mentally moving furniture around. (I'm exhausted, btw...)

Here's what we've got... (Click to embiggen if you feel so inclined...)

The kitchen - I am loving this cabinetry...

The living room. I have the spot for the Christmas tree all picked out.

The basement - so much potential! And we have a plan... Serious fun.

As you come down the stairs into the foyer and the formal dining room (soon to be my office). I just love the loftiness of the space...

Computa and Sporta seem pretty happy with the choices we've made...

Now maybe I will be more motivated to pack...

Wednesday, May 23, 2007

Got my camera...

Got my tape measure too.

We're off to go play in the new house.

::insert maniacal laughter here::

Pictures to follow...

Odd Man Out

Alrighty - time to waste time at work exercise those brain cells. Ready for the brain bender via the handy dandy discount MENSA calendar? Here we go!

----------------------

Which of the words below is least like the others? (The difference has nothing to do with vowels, consonants or syllables.)
  • PAINS
  • RAIN
  • ENEMY
  • CLERGY

----------------------

Well there you have it. And like always, the answer will be found later in the comments. See you then!

Well, it's that time of year again....

WxMan and I got our love letters written to Sporta to send in to school.

**sigh**

And I didn't get nearly as pissed off about it this year as last - but it still feels like b.s. to me - just saying. And I stand by this remark I made about the whole idea last year...

Does she have low self esteem, you ask? Hell, no! She's fine. She knows how proud we are of her and how much we love her because we tell her every day. Duh... That's what parents (should) do. I do not like it when school starts trying to step into my shoes. Frankly, it squishes my toes and pisses me off...

My girls know how proud we are and how much we love them because we tell them every day and show them love in a multitude of ways. Even when I am demanding that they brush their teeth and hair and please please please pick up their socks - it's out of love.

But the letters are written. One from Mom, one from Dad, so any potential harm that may occur from *not* getting a letter can be averted. Good Lord. And I will repost this disclaimer:

**I do not begrudge having to write Sporta a love letter. I have written both girls letters in the past... I just do not like being told to do it, or how it will potentially negatively affect Sporta if I don't. That's crap.

Oh! Oh! I wanna be a Psychic!!

Though Johnny did it best...

Blue works for me...

Your Aura is Blue

Spiritual and calm, you tend to live a quiet but enriching life.
You are very giving of yourself. And it's hard for you to let go of relationships.

The purpose of your life: showing love to other people

Famous blues include: Angelina Jolie, the Dali Lama, Oprah

Careers for you to try: Psychic, Peace Corps Volunteer, Counselor

Something tells me they should have "Bartender" listed there too. Kinda wraps all of those careers into one....

Lunch Boxes

So okay - we are headed out to lunch. And we're going to score some boxes. That works, right?

Anyhoo - here is the Brain Bender for Tuesday.

--------------------

Find a six-digit number in which the third digit is the product of the first and second digits, the second digit is half the first, the fourth digit is two less than the third and the last digit is half of the fourth.

The sum of all digits is 24.

---------------------

Well, I'm not going to get this one even if I use all of my digits - so I'll leave it to all y'all. Like always, the answer will be found later in the comments. See you then!

A different sort of conversation...

...on the way to my house.
Some guy: "AkshunJ - what are you up to today?"

AkshunJ: "I'm just headed over to my buddy's house so I can play with his wee."

Some guy: "What?!?!?!"

AkshunJ: "You know - the Wii. Jeez. Catch up , Dude."
Or something like that...

Anyhoo - Check out the intensity. WxMan even got out of his chair. Whoa...

How long before these guys go to the Olympics? I can't wait...

Monday, May 21, 2007

Uh oh...

Found over at Blonde Sagacity.

You Are 48% Pure

You're not so innocent... in fact, you're quite unpure.
You have seen and experienced a lot. And you're no worse for the wear!

Not that I don't agree with the result - I'll just file it under "Guess what kids, you're not going to get away with that. Momma knows more than she lets on..."

So, don't leave me hanging - how pure are you??

That wiley Grandpa...

...is the instigator of today's Brain Bender*. Ready to play?

-----------------

Grandpa liked to play jokes on his grandchildren. He gave Liam $0.35, Greg $0.37 and Betsy $0.71. He told them the one who figures out his logic would get $5.00.

What was the logic behind the amounts?

---------------

Beats me - but then math certainly is *not* my shtick. I'll leave it to you! Like always the answer will be found later in the comments. See you then!

*The daily Brain Bender is brought to you by the handy dandy discount MENSA calendar - thanks for playin'!

It's Monday!

And you know what that means!

No?

It means (among other things) that I get a freeking turn on the computer! Whoohoo!!

...

Hey, c'mon - I'm trying here... You got to celebrate what you can, you know?

And today I am celebrating a restoration of the house after much weekend frivolity and activity, the fact that it is going to be sunny and 80 today, and that I have more flowers to plant... (In movable containers thankyouverymuch).

Life is good. And it's going to get better! More about that later in the week - but there it is.

WxMan is off all week. We'll see if we can get some major packing and organization done. Heh.

Today of course, he has scheduled himself to hang out and play video games with our good buddy AkshunJ - so I'm thinking maybe tomorrow.

That's okay. Everybody needs a day to relax... Hear the whisper...
{{And mine is coming. Four more days.... Even better than *this* description of a little vacation. Ha! Love it... Makes me wish the girls had a sandbox.}}
Alrighty then - flowers beckon. (Can't you just see them? Waving at me with their little leaves??) Time to go get this party started.

A Super Star and a Soccer Star

All in one weekend. Gotta love it.

On Friday, Computa was recognized at a luncheon at school for being a "Super Star" student. With emphasis on the fact that she is a very conscientious and polite child.

I already knew that about her.

And though I usually shun these touchy feely attempts to raise kids "self esteem" or whatever, I must say that it was quite nice. And the kids were visibly more than pleased to be there with their parents, basking in the praise.

Whoohoo Computa! It is always gratifying as a parent to discover that your child is behaving appropriately even when you're not looking. Maybe there is something to this touchy feely stuff...

Yesterday was spent shuttling back and forth to the soccer field - a place we will be spending some time in coming years I am sure. Sporta ended the season in style... (Click the pics to embiggen if you feel so inclined...)

Give it a ride, Sis! Goal!!!!

All in all it's been a GREAT weekend. And we have one more day to go...

Friday, May 18, 2007

Need a little break?

Well how about Spiderman (more like SpiderBun) 1 & 2 in 30 seconds re-enacted by bunnies. I will admit, I liked the kissing scene better with Tobey Maguire though.

And I cannot decide if this is quirky and cute? Or disturbing? Check out Patches the horse...

(And is it me - or does it just seem terribly *wrong* that the horse likes cheeseburgers...) H/T Loretta & Dal

And just to round things out, here is a link to the new Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix trailer. AWESOME!

Happy Friday! Y'all have fun!

Friday

And what's up? Not a lot. And that's a good thing...

Ready for the last Brain Bender of the week?

--------------------

Valerie is as old as Casey was four years ago. Five years ago, Valerie was half the age Casey is now. Four years ago, Valerie was five-sevenths Casey's age. Both are teenagers.

How old are they now?

-------------------

Well, there you have it. And like always the answers will be found later in the comments. See you then!

Meme'd!

This time tagged with a fun Movie Meme via CalTechGirl. Here's the deal...

Pick out ten favorite movies, then look them up at IMDb. In the overview at the top of each movie's page, there are "Plot Keywords," usually five of them. (Plus more, if you click the link.) Take the first five, and post them. Then the rest of us get to play movie buff and see if we can guess them.
Alrighty then - here we go!

1.Child Abuse / Legless Person / Vietnam War Veteran / Autistic Savant / New Year's Eve

2. School Life / Sorcerer / Spell / Power / Supernatural Powers

3. Atmospheric / Passion / Gentle / Servant / Arranged Marriage

4. Witness / On The Run / Murder / Fish Out Of Water / Detective

5. Meteorite / Saving The World Mission / Psychologist / Gratuities / Misfits

6. Bronx New York / Lawyer / Mob Boss / Cop Killer / Gore

7. Male Female Relationship / Love / Ice Skating / Hockey / Olympics

8. Critically Acclaimed / Irish American / Plagiarism / Unrequited Love / Psychiatrist

9. Foot Blown Off / Night Vision Goggles / General / Betrayal / Impalement

10. Eggs / Dolphin / Regret / Mask / Loss Of Wife

Bonus: Sermon / Poignant / Gentle / Midlife Crisis / Revenge
(What? No cafe? No train?)

------------

Okay! Some of these are waaaaay easy to guess. And some? Well? #9 for example - foot blown off?? Dude - where did that come from? And number 10 - Dolphin? I don't remember a dolphin being involved - a shark (or three), yes. But a dolphin? No way.

Anyhoo, let me know what you think my movies are in the comments.

As for tagees... Huh. I tag Oddybobo, Roses and Tammi. Why should I have all the fun! :-)

What the heck - it's time once again to waste time at work exercise those braincells. Ready to play?

Balls!

Beach balls, that is. Ready for the daily Brain Bender (via the handy dandy discount MENSA calendar)??

--------------------

There was a contest to guess the number of beach balls in a store display. Fiona guessed 35, Gretchen guessed 28, Hope guessed 31, Inga guessed 34 and Jenny guessed 30. One was off by 5, one was off by 2, one was off by 1, one was off by 4 and one was correct.

How many beach balls were in the display?

-----------------------

Huh. No clue here - math isn't my shtick. But you know what to do! Like always the answer will be found later in the comments. See you then!

Not toast!!

And I am not talking about breakfast - I am talking deal! As in the offer on our house is not toast! Yay!

Dude got his proof of financing and earnest money in late yesterday.

We're back in business!!

And here... ::passes out dramamine so the rest of the ride goes a tad easier::

Buckle up!

Colors!

Me? I like red. Let's see what the handy dandy discount MENSA calendar has in store for us color wise. Ready to play?

-------------------

The names of three colors are hidden in the sentences below. Can you find them? (The letters are in consecutive order.)

"I was really scared," said Sally. "I never rode on a tandem bike before."

The Ogre entered the magic cave and was turned into a small cat.

------------------

Seriously - I have to wonder what these MENSA folks are smokin' sometimes. Anyhoo, you know what to do. The answers will be found later in the comments. See you then!

Go Oddy Go!!!

Today's the day - Oddybobo's quest for the bench will be decided!! If you have a few good vibes to spare - send them her way, won't you?
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, Oddy!!

Girlfriends...

Where would we be without them?? They help us get through the tough times, make us laugh, remind us that we are not alone, and on occasion let us know when we are totally screwing up!

Case in point. While visiting with the illustrious Tammi yesterday afternoon and explaining that we will be showing the house again because dude who's offer we accepted seems unwilling to move forward with the freeking deal (he has yet to produce earnest money, proof of financing, etc...). Gah!

Tammi: "Darlin' - you haven't been praying for patience, have you?"

Me:
"Well yeah - why wouldn't I?? I need all of the patience I can get - don'tcha think?"

Tammi:
"OH NO NO NO NO NOOOOOO!!! You NEVER pray for patience!!! That's just asking the Lord to test you over and over and over again until you learn patience."

Me:
"Oh shit."

Tammi:
"Right! You stop that praying for patience right now! You only want to pray for Peace, Wisdom and Joy...."

Me:
"Got it. Peace Wisdom and Joy. Crap - I can't believe I have been sabotaging myself this entire time! I thought praying for patience was like praying for Serenity..."

Tammi:
"Serenity is Peace, Honey."

So see? Where would we be without girlfriends. No more prayers for patience for me!!

Prayers for some speedy cleaning and mad organizational skillz, maybe. I got eight hours to get this place "show ready" once again.

Happy Mother's Day!

And now I have a "matching set" of clay pots. Traditional third grade Mother's Day gift - Computa's from last year and Sporta's today. Who needs flowers...

So here's to all you mothers out there - it's nice to have a day off, isn't it?

Enjoy your own clay pots - in whatever form they take... Now I just have to decide what to keep in mine.

Round *is* a shape, Mummy.

Good Boy...

Just three little letters....

Okie dokey, you know what to do. The answers will be found later in the comments. See you then?

T.G.I.F.

And I don't know about you, but I'm tired.

Bone weary.

Pooped.

And this rodeo is just getting started... Hoo boy!

Christina asked yesterday for five words that described your week. These were mine:
Pounding Pounding Offer! Panic Wine.

Yup. And in the future I see boxes. Many many boxes... Wine can come in boxes too - and that's definitely a good thing.

Anyhoo. It's Friday. What are you doing to make it a happy one?

Thursday, May 10, 2007

Murder for a jar of red rum!

Oh yeah... 'Course, that could be a direct effect of the pounding pounding pounding...

Or a palindrome.

Either way, here is the Brain Bender for today. Ready to play?

----------------

A palindrome is a word, sentence or group of words that reads the same backward and forward.

What do you do when you call 911?

Gratuitous roofing pictures...

It's crazy busy - there are probably 15 guys above me working on this project.

And it's LOUD. But Bossman says they will be done by tomorrow - so that's good....

You 'spoze the actual roof is supposed to look that scary once the shingles are off?? Yikes!

And thanks to my dad's suggestion - I sprayed everything for spiders before they started. I'm sure a few have been displaced... ::shudder::

Pounding pounding pounding....

Above my head. Ready for today's Brain Bender via the handy dandy discount MENSA calendar??

--------------------------

Harry was selling his baseball cards. The first buyer bought half; the second buyer bought one-forth of what was left, plus 5; the third buyer too half of what was left, plus 5; and the fourth and last buyer took half of what was left, plus 5. Harry held on to his 10 best cards.

How many cards did Harry start out with?

--------------------------

Alrighty then, you know what to do. The answers will be found later in the comments. Happy Hump Day!

Holy Crap!

It feels like I am under siege!

Meaning the roofer guys are here! Yay new roof!

All I can hope for is that later they may be "shirtless roofer guys." (Hey, a gal needs to find her entertainment where she can, right?)

For now though I am outta here - sounds like the place is going to fall down ferGodssake.

Yikes...

Play time!

Via the handy dandy discount MENSA calendar. Ready to waste time at work exercise those braincells?

----------------

What two words formed from different arrangements of the same seven letters can be used to complete the sentence below?

When I went to __________ the prospective teacher, I found that he was entirely too __________ for an elementary school classroom.

-----------------

Alrighty, you know what to do. The answer will be found later in the comments. See you then!

Offer!!

Oh yeah, Baby! We got one - not perfect, but we are beginning the negotiation process....

I am having the sudden urge to aquire boxes. Many many boxes... Whoohoo!

Gone fishin' golfing...

No, really! Though I won't be doing the actual "golfing" per se. That's because I golf like this:

Only with multiple repeats of the WHIFF. And cussing. A lot of cussing.

It's not good.

But I can definitely drive the golf cart and enjoy the sunshine - usually without much cussing even! So while I am off to play - I will post the brain bender a tad early today so you can play too! Ready?

-----------------------

Place the same three letters in each blank below to make four different words.
  • CAN_____
  • CAR_____
  • POS_____
  • HAL_____

-------------------------

And there you have it. Like always, the answers will be found later in the comments. See you then!

Whimsical

That's how one of the Lookie Loos recently described my house.

Whimsical. As in:

"You can just tell they have a lot of fun here. There are whimsical touches throughout the home."
I think I like it!

See, I just like going into rooms and seeing things that flat out make me happy. Like my Harry Potter posters hanging in the laundry area (aka basement).

Or the gecko that hangs over the teeny door in the kitchen.

Or one of my all time favorite cartoons I framed and hung at the top of the basement stairs.

(Click to embiggen)

Whimsical.

I definitely think I like it.

Bugging out...

Alternate title "Docking with the Mother Ship"

At least that's what it looks like to me as we prepare to make my house look even more like nobody really lives here...
No kids or dogs here! C'mon in!

And no - Sporta's shirt was *not* that dirty - I just wanted to block out the writing and my photoshop skillz suck. (And Computa isn't here to show me how to do it right.) ;-)

So really - we back right up to the house so our aging pups (who no longer have any vertical lift) can just hop in. Saves both their dignity and my back. It's a win-win.

And I get to do it *again* later today... *sigh* Hopefully this time the realtor won't show up a half hour early like she did last night. Gah!

Oh! And here's a question - I know it's a good idea to have the house smelling like bread or cookies when you have folks coming through, but what would be so bad about the house smelling like BBQ?? Huh??

I have some smoked babyback ribs that sound really really good for dinner... And it just feels like animal cruelty to load both dogs and my nesco roaster full of smoked yummy goodness and then hit the road. You think?

Fun for Friday!

Last Brain Bender of the week - ready to play?

----------------------

Well, alrighty then! You know what to do - the answer will be found later in the comments. Happy Friday!

Thursday, May 03, 2007

I should be happy...

My realtor just called - somebody wants to show the house tonight. **sigh**

Let's check the score...

Showed the place last Thursday.
Open house Sunday
Yesterday
Today
Showing scheduled for tomorrow...

Is it me? Or does that seem like a lot?!?!

C'mon St. Joe!! What's it going to take - malt beverages along with novenas?? I am willing to work with you!

Do you think it would be too much to ask them to be outta here in time for Grey's Anatomy?? Probably...

Summer on the brain...

...and I have it bad!

Case in point - at the grocery store this morning (note to self - remember to not go when I'm hungry!!) everything I even thought about picking up cane with the same subconscious thought:
"But does ________ go with corn on the cob??"

Mmmmmm.... Corn on the cob... Butter.... salt... ::drool::

So what's for dinner? Smoked baby back pork ribs, corn on the cob, cole slaw, fresh tomatoes, and strawberries. If y'all are in the neighborhood you're welcome to drop by...

Like I said - summer on the brain. Let's remind me of this when I am complaining about the bugs and the heat, okay? For now I am going to go plant pretty flowers...

Hey, if I am going to eat like it's summer - it better look like summer outside, right?

Something to grind on...

"NEVER MAKE SOMEONE A PRIORITY IN YOUR LIFE WHEN THEY HAVE ONLY MADE YOU AN OPTION IN THEIRS."

Huh. I read that a couple of days ago. Sounds like damn fine advice to me...

I dunno if it will surpass my *other* life lesson/motto:
"Complete honesty in word and deed is a good way to get punched out."

But it is definitely worth considering.

You got a life lesson/motto for me?? With all of the crazy on my plate, I can use all the help I can get...

This is a test....

...according to today's Brain Bender. Ready to play?

----------

In the test for a job promotion, Don was neither first nor last. Cal beat Bill and Don. Rich beat Don and Ed. Don beat Ed. Bill beat Rich.

Who was last?

-------------------

Well hey - as least I know it's not me - *I* beat Don and Ed! Anyhoo, like always, the answer will be found later in the comments. See you then!

Well, hey!

At least when it comes to showing my house there are no dead people here, right? Who knew *that* could be a selling point??

A real estate house viewing this week on Janesville's east side turned up a body. Janesville police Lieutenant Tim Hiers says when the real estate agent and a prospective couple viewed the home on North Clairemont Drive, they thought the body might be a mannequin used for CPR. Hiers says the woman, who was the owner of the home, may have been dead for more than two weeks. Authorities are curious
if other real estate agents had shown the home during that time. There is no reason to suspect foul play at this point but an investigation is underway. [emphasis mine]

I am feeling better and better about Operation Sell This House all the time.... After all, we are dead people free!! ::shudder::

Update: Whoops! And a hat tip to Roses for sending me the link! Thanks for making me feel better! ;-)

Word fun...
