Along with today's Countdown to Christmas with Calvin and Hobbs we have the most amazing decription of cake I have ever read. Treat yourself to a taste of Christmas culinary sensuality....

The cake resists and then surrenders to my large chef's blade. Heavy and dense, packed with raisins and nuts, a poorer blade would only have been useful for hacking at it. A serious cake, it deserves a serious knife.

Why they seem to go together, I don't know. but for some reason it works for me..... Mmmmm Bourbon Cake.........
