Putting the Whoopee! back in Christmas
A little background.
Every year since the girls were little, my mother has put together an advent calendar for them. Now this isn't the kind of advent calendar I had as a child -- the kind where you open a little "door" on the calendar and behind it there is a bible verse or maybe a small piece of chocolate. Oh no. This advent calendar is free standing in the shape of a house with little doors that hold beautifully painted ornaments to hang on and decorate the "house." It is lovely. And for the 24 days leading up to Christmas they get to open up a little gift. A present every. single. day. They love it.
Now, the gifts are nothing super elaborate -- lip gloss or an ornament, a small game or some fun erasers. That sort of thing. Today K and A eagerly opened their advent present and what fun little gift do we have?
Whoopee cushions. One for each.

Well, I am absolutely certain that they will be making brrrraaapppppppp good use of this frrrruuuuuppppp gift. And I will be paying broooooooooppppp close attention when I go to sit down.
Hey! They got harmonicas last Wednesday! We are going to get treated to a very different sort of Christmas music today for sure! ppptttrraaaaaatttt
Calvin is right on track with the type of humor at my house today...
