Easy.....

Today's brain bender is easy schmeasy. No problemo. So I am adding a quirky little logic problem at the end to make things a bit more interesting. Ready? Here we go....

Mel Colly stared through the dirty soot smeared window on the 26th floor of the office tower. Overcome with depression, he slid the window open and jumped through it. Though it was a sheer drop outside the building to the ground, miraculously he landed and was completely unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his decent, how could he have survived?
